On being ‘a believer’ in Berlin
On a recent past weekend, I went to church on Sunday morning. Despite having to rush 50 minutes across the city, taking two subways, it was great. The weekend before, I had to get a taxi at the last minute for 10 Euros because the subway had delays, and otherwise, I wouldn’t have made it in time. Going to my church is always worth it. I never regret the effort and feel like I always get my money’s worth, so to speak. The quiet and the time to reflect and follow the words of the mass calms me, and interesting thoughts and even my higher self can speak. Some people can do this with meditation, but I seem to need the structure of church. Similar to going to the gym, despite having yoga mats and all sorts of resources at home, I just need the dedicated space experience.
After church, I headed over to the Museum…
